The analysis of how the decision of the Presidium of the USSR Academy of Sciences in may 1931, it was decided to proceed with the creation of a number of comprehensive research bases of the USSR and a network of research stations across the Soviet Union: The Urals, the far East, the Baikal lake, in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, etc. When newly opened research organizations were necessarily libraries, manning and methodical work in which led a Sector of a network of special libraries, which in 1973 was created the Library for natural Sciences of the USSR.
